Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Friends,

We are at the end of another busy term with many events and activities. Our staff at Sirius College are working hard and hand in hand not only to nurture our students academically but also together with values. We believe that the only way our students will be successful in life is to have a good academic and values based education. As we do our best to achieve our goals, we need the support and help of our parents. Please follow up with your children on their homework and readers. A three-week holiday is ahead of us, please do not leave your children all alone with their electronics. This holiday is not only for refreshment and relaxation, but also a great chance to review their works so far. At this point, our parents have big responsibilities. I hope we all use this chance in a positive way.

At schools, discipline starts from the uniform and continues with the students’ attendances listening to their teachers. Please make sure your children do not attend school without the correct uniform. This way students will understand the importance of discipline and following rules. From the beginning of term three, proper uniform will be enforced more strictly by our staff members. Please complete the missing or worn parts of your child(ren)’s uniform including a proper school bag.

This term, our events hub organized a Mother’s Day stall for students to purchase presents for their mothers which students enjoyed and were very happy with. I would like to thank Mrs Eser, Ms Selin and everyone who have come in and put in an effort for the stall and also for the mothers. We hope you all enjoyed your Mother’s Day and your gifts.

If you have any concerns or questions related to your children, please make sure you contact their teachers by contacting the office.

The holy month of Ramadan was the greatest period of time of the term. A month full of rewards, a month in which we unite to understand those in need and help them. This was a good time and opportunity to teach all these values to our children. Our Pastoral Care teachers organised numerous programs and home iftar visits during Ramadan. Personally I had chance to attend few of them, they all were great. I would like to thanks all Pastoral Care staff for their efforts and all parents and students who opened their doors to our staff and their classmates.

If you have any question or concern about the school, please let us know immediately. Your feedback (positive or negative) are extremely important for our growth and improvement.

I hope we all have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
